I haven't been on the admin portion of my site in a while, and it looks like my auto-publisher has been having issues. No posts I made since 2018 have gone out properly. My apologies for that. I'm currently working on manually publishing them out, so there should be some back reading to do if you keep up with my blog regularly.

It always makes me feel good to know that I am helping educate people not only in the good parts of skunk ownership, but also the hardships and frustrations.  The more prepared you are when deciding to own an exotic animal, the better for both you and the pet. When I logged on to start looking at why my publishing wasn't working I was also greeted by a few messages.  One that really made me feel great (especially since it looked like my blog went dark for three months) was from the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology. A notification that Skunk Guru has been chosen for their list of Top 25 Small Animal Blogs

I was informed that students practicing to become vet techs read my blog and relate to some of the health and life struggles I face rearing exotic pets. Well, since you guys read my blog, I just wanted to let you know that all of you studying to become vet techs.... You da real MVPs.  Vet techs and vets are the only reason I have half the knowledge I do today. You're the ones who helped me out when I first got started working with and rescuing skunks.  You're the ones who keep me calm and help me through instances where my skunks are sick or, heaven forbid, dying.  Veterinarians and Vet Techs are my heroes.

As you head out into the world after school and work with exotic animals, or small animals, or farm animals, or even all of the above you head out to help not only save lives, but to support those pet's owners through difficult times.  Thanks for that.
